What is Life Coaching with an emphasis on Christian world view and values?

According to the International Coach Federation, a professional Life Coach is someone who partners with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.  In other words, life coaching is the process of coming along side someone and helping them identify where they currently are, where they want to be and how to get there.

(Christian) Life coaching takes that same concept and moves it into the light of Scripture and frames it in a Christian worldview.  Christian Life Coaching is based on the foundation that God has a plan for your life and is eager to enable you to live it.

It is different from counseling. Counseling focuses on the past and how to recover from its effects so you can function well in the present. Christian coaching looks forward and encourages you to develop strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving dreams.

It is also different from mentoring. A Christian mentor encourages growth by imparting what God has given him or her. A Christian coach draws what God has given you out where you can use it.  Christian coaching provides you with a similar relationship. It is all about you.

Your coach helps you rekindle hope and shines the light of God's grace on the dreams He put in your heart. She encourages you and holds you accountable, helps you plan and cheers you on to become who God created you to be. She holds you up in prayer and is the keeper of your dreams.

What a  Life Coach is NOT:

Life Coaching is a process and not a method.

  • A Life Coach is not a Therapist/Counselor (or other mental health professional)

  • A Life Coach is not a Psychiatrist (trained expert who can diagnose or treat)

  • A Life Coach is not a Consultant (paid expert hired to advice)

Why coaching with Coach K?

For 18+ years, I’ve been coaching and mentoring teen girls to women on how to live extraordinary lives. I started my mentoring and coaching career in the public school system teaching, coaching and mentoring teens through very seasons of their lives.  As well as being an accountability coach for various business professionals in both the public and private sectors.

When you become my client, you’re not getting a newbie coach with zero (or little) experience. Instead, you’re receiving insights from a seasoned and top-level coach with years of experience and results. Within my coaching, I use a variety of tools and strategies that will help you acquire your goals. My credentials include being a certified Life Coach as well as holding a master’s in educational leadership.

What can I expect from my Coaching calls with Coach K?

I don’t use a Strategic Plan or a Script. I work with the Holy Spirit to navigate each session to move you toward your desired goal.

Coaching sessions, with me, are comfortable, caring and progress oriented.  My tone or rapport is similar to a conversation with a dear friend, that provides insight, guidance, and a nurturing safe environment. I usually begin by listening to you tell your story pertaining to what you’re wanting to address. Next, I’ll ask a few questions. This is to provide clarity, insight, thought and understanding about your current situation and will assist either you or I (or both of us), in identifying what’s driving you.  Last, we will partner together in identifying your next steps that will guide you into the transformation you’re seeking. The results of which will allow you to feel relief, encouraged and inspired.

Do you offer sessions face to face or over the phone?

Currently, I offer both. There is no difference in the quality of the session whether face to face or via Zoom.

How much do sessions cost?

The short answer is…it depends. Each session is tailored to the individual and is based on need.

Value-minded coaches do not offer only 1, 2, or 3 sessions. Instead, coaching packages (with a pre-determined number of sessions) are offered in order to deliver the coaching experience with the highest results.
